The chank snail is in the univalve species and is a predetor attacking seastars and smaller bivalves for food it travels through the sand feeling its way with a projection called a proposcius when it feels its prey it will grab the animal with its giant foot and "hold on" as it drills a hole into the shell in which it excretes an enzyme that dissolves the prey, then the Chank sucks the animal out through the hole which it created. These animals and grow to an average size of 12 inches these are beautiful specimens
